Participant’s Code of Conduct
The following rules of conduct will apply to all players, coaches and spectators and will be strictly enforced at all practices and games.
No player, coach, team representative or spectator shall:
1. Lay a hand upon, push, shove, strike or threaten to strike an official.
2. Refuse to abide by official’s decisions.
3. Physically attack a player, official, or spectator. Players who are the recipient of the attack and fight back will be dealt with on an individual basis, and appropriate action taken by the League.
4. Be guilty of abusive verbal attack upon any player, official, or spectator.
5. Use profane, obscene, or vulgar language in any manner, or at any time.
6. Falsify the identification of any player or person on an official league or game roster. Such falsification, intentional or otherwise, and with or without that player or person’s knowledge, shall be just cause for disciplinary action.
All coaches are responsible for their player’s actions and the actions of team spectators.
The type of participation that the League will neither support nor tolerate is that which:
- Brings the game into disrepute.
- Results in physical or mental violence.
- Is morally inappropriate.
Disciplinary Action
Players, coaches and/or spectators who violate the above code of conduct will be immediately suspended by the referee or a league official (any staff assigned to the program and/or facility) from further participation in the league until their case has been considered by the League Director and appropriate action has been taken by the League.
The League Director has sole power and full discretion of imposing penalties on all violations of Participant’s Code of Conduct and IFAB’s Laws of the Game. For any violation not included in said codes, the penalty shall be at the discretion of the League Director.
Any player, coach or spectator already on probation and reported again for violating this “Code of Conduct” will be suspended for the remainder of the season.
Appeals of any violation may be lodged with the League Director who will decide the matter.
Procedure to get be removed from prolonged suspension: Players, coaches and/or spectators, after being suspended for one year, may appeal the League Director for review of their case and re-instatement to the program. A letter must be written to the League Director asking for this review.
